The Bildungspaket helps cover the costs of school and social life for children in families that receive Bürgergeld, Kinderzuschlag, Wohngeld or similar support. It pays toward school supplies, school trips and outings, lunch at school or daycare, travel to school, learning support, and a monthly amount for sport, music or other clubs. You apply at the local authority (often the Jobcenter or Sozialamt). This page explains the benefit; it does not assess your individual case.
You may be eligible if
- You have a child in school or daycare.
- Your household receives Bürgergeld, Kinderzuschlag, Wohngeld or similar support.
- You apply at the responsible local office with proof.
