What happens to your letters

You're sharing documents from tax offices, insurers, and authorities. Here's exactly what we do with them — in plain words.

How your letter is read

To explain a letter, its pages are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic (Claude), which reads and interprets it on our behalf under a data-processing agreement. They do not train their models on it, keep it for only about 30 days, and share it with no one else.

What we keep

We store the explanation — the summary, dates, and action items — and the original file, for as long as you choose in your retention setting. You can delete any letter at any time, and deleting your account erases everything for good.

Where your data is

Our app and database are hosted in the EU. The one step that leaves the EU is sending the letter to Anthropic in the US — under EU-approved safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework). We won't pretend everything stays in the EU.

No tracking, no selling

No third-party analytics or advertising trackers. We never sell or share your data for marketing. Fonts are self-hosted, and one strictly-necessary cookie keeps you signed in — nothing more.
